Memoirs of Major John Earle Bomar : ca. 1939 / prepared for my children and grandchildren by his son Edward Earle Bomar.

Essay recording details of Bomar's ancestry, education, and civic devotion, with anecdotal recollections of antebellum Spartanburg, S.C., during the first half of the 19th century. Bomar was educated at Spartanburg Male Academy and Erskine College, ca. 1867, entered into a law partnership with John Hamilton Evins. During his lifetime, Bomar was honored by being named to a number of civic positions of trust including seats on the boards of Converse College, Limestone College, and Spartanburg's Kennedy Free Library.
